Bulletstorm is coming on Xbox360 in 2011

Strange business - developers of excellent Painkiller sign the contract with Epic, show a shooter which looks like and is perceived as Duke Nukem. And, though the previous project People Can Fly also has done a heap of noise, it has been warmly accepted by players, problems have begun at studio . We have not received a high-grade sequel, only mediocre add-ons from other developers.

In the meantime People Can Fly has ported Gears of War on PC, and it became known one year later that EA will publish not announced shooter which poles  were creating together with Epic. Kliff Blezhinski should stage this new project on Jimmy Fellona's Show  in the spring of this year , but something was incorrect and presentation have cancelled. Certainly, all thought about Gears of War 3.
The first information has flowed away in the Internet the same week. There is one more project of Epic except GoW3   - the real bad-ass shooter which we did not see very long time. It became a little close for the Duke in this niche after the first video of Bulletstorm.

The real hell is created - the hero uses almost each element of an environment for murder of enemies, scatters them as dolls the electric whip-collar, he draws to himself delayed opponents, simultaneously shooting them or pushing on the nearest iron stick. Blow under back sends to a long flight one more opponent, the face hit forced another enemy to tarry on a few seconds. We distribute kicks for each opponent literally. A foot, certainly.

Opponents are not creating direct horror at the player, frighten it, but their each occurrence forces to be nervous in this game. Developers want, that we were glad to each new enemy, after all process of murder is so well developed that each time would be desirable to try the new kick, the new weapon, a new combination an environment-player-enemy.
It seems, it is the real sandbox in a usual linear shooter - so much various possibilities of killing we did not see for a long time. To jostle the opponent in a mouth to a predatory flower, and to kill the plant which has distracted for a dinner. Beat out a door, to crush it to one of the bad guys, push a second guy on an electric guard.
For each beautiful murder, everyone headshot, each kick or simply successful using of an environment with the subsequent death of opponents, we are given out by points and inform the name of reception which we have just made. Headshot - 25 points; the Voodoo doll pushes the enemy on a sharp pole, - 25; a flying opponent headshot  - 50. Murder of several enemies without tearing off a finger from a trigger - 100. And so on.

Skilful players awarded additional points, game stimulates to beautiful completing, forces to include imagination and to think up the next way of murder, the next combination.
We receive points, we receive perks, we open new, even more entertainment ways of murder. It reminds old kind os slashers, like Devil May Cry or God of War - more beautifully you kill enemies, more points will be given for upgrading the character.
Except kicks and an electric whip, tens types of weapon which can be improved are accessible to us. Hunk (main hero's name), can carry two guns simultaneously. It is said that it is made for very fast switching between them, for their convenient combination in fight.
It is recollected Painkiller - the same fast rate, crowds of enemies snatched in the portions between which we are allowed to take rest and take pleasure of seeing excellent landscapes.

Game is constructed on last version Unreal Engine 3. It has bothered with domination of projects which look monotonously, are grey and are inexpressive. Every second is similar on Gears of War, but without a highlight.
But unlike many of them, designers of People Can Fly, have so successfully applied technology that it is very difficult to make out that engine in Bulletstorm. The distructed world have its own life, it looks very unusually and pleasantly. The palm trees which have sprouted among one of streets of a megacity, the skyscrapers fitted by greens, the lianas hooked for a column. Excellent details, fine landscapes. Something similar can be seen in recent Enslaved.
The main hero covers with a floor-mat all and everything, constantly makes comments on an event and urges on enemies in the middle of fight. He exchanges caustic phrases with partners who will not fail to recollect someone's mother too. It is more cheerful  with partners , there are many elements of game process constructed on interaction with them. And here about co-operative society developers are silent, though they say that consider possibility of its realisation.
Even grandmothers can pass game - there will be some variants of complexity, from valid very easy, to hardcore which will satisfy the most skilful gamers.

The scenario writes Rik Remender who has worked on Dead Space. Besides, he is the gamer himself that should affect positively. They promise dramatic situations in the middle of general lightness. It is created a lawlessness  only outside, we are expected by the serious scene, but nobody opens details.
Our main hero, is a mercenary from group Dead Echo in the past, trades in a piracy with the partner a cyborg. He has come to such life not simply so - he has learnt any over the classified information on one of tasks and then has been betrayed by the commander.

They manage to run away, Hunk lies down some years.  And, once, having come across the ship of the former commander, partners engage at once, which comes to an end with their crash landing on a planet of Stigija where game action take place.

Abundance of enthusiasm, fresh ideas and black humour overflowing the project. We will see Hunk in the first time, but not last time. Having got tired of an abundance of military shooters and having see Epic Games logo on a box with game, players will provide Bulletstorm excellent sales.
Important that kicking enemies with a boots and sufficing a lash must be rather cheerful.
Bulletstorm leaves on February, 22nd, 2011 on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.
